Dr. Sarah Hillyer, who was named the Georgetown University Sport and Peacebuilding Post-Doctoral Fellow, launched the University of Tennessee Center for Sport, Peace, & Society (CSPS) housed in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences in 2012.

In addition to her global impact work as part of the CSPS, Dr. Hillyer works with the U.S. Department of State, managing the Global Sports Mentoring Program. She has also worked with United States Olympic & Paralympic Committees, Islamic Federation of Women’s Sports, NHL, NBA, PGA of America, Women’s Tennis Association, Google, Procter & Gamble, Saatchi & Saatchi and dozens of National Paralympic & Olympic Committees, creating programs that use the attributes of sport and physical activity to create innovative social movements and promote peace.
